Campus Internet Rules

 Campus Internet Flow Control 
 According to “Campus Internet Flow Control, the limit of the internet flows for the maximum of every IP for five minutes is 3000; the flow maximum for every IP of the wired or wireless internet on campus every day is 6GBytes; and we forbid P2P software, except Windows Live Messenger, yahoo, and Skype. If you exceed the maximum, your right will be forbidden for seven days.Then you have to go to “Computer and Information Network Center” to fill out the application form of the internet reuse. After people in Computer and Information Network Center receive your application form for three days, your right will be restored.

Note : If you disobey this rule for more than five times in three months, your right will be forbidden for thirty days. Exception: If you have the super demand because of your teaching or academic research, you have to fill out the “special flow application form” before three days of the demanding date. After passing the signature of your director in the organization, you send the application form to Computer and Information Network Center.
 
Campus Internet Regulations 
 According to the campus internet regulations, the users should avoid using the unauthorized computer programming (software), downloading unlawfully and copying the works protected by copyrights, uploading the protected works to the open web sites without the agreement of the people who have copyrights, and reprinting the articles in BBS, Blogs or other on-line discussion areas which the author obviously forbids.

To avoid abusing the internet, the users should avoid distributing computer viruses or other programs of bothering and destroying the system function, cutting out the information from the internet by themselves, breaking or stealing the accounts and passwords of others, lending their accounts to others, hiding their accounts, using the fake accounts, peeking the emails or the documents of others, abusing the internet resource in any ways, including sending many ads, chain-letters or useless messages by means of the emails, and affecting the system to function by filling out the mailboxes and occupying the resource, distributing the deception, the slander, the insult, the obscene, the harassment, the unlawful software transaction, or the unlawful messages by means of the emails, online talking, and bulletin boards, and making use of the school online resources to do some activities of not related to teaching or unlawful behavior. If you disobey the above-mentioned rules, your right of using the internet resources will be stopped and you will accept the punishments of the school rules.
